Title: The Savannah Ecosystem.
1The Savannah Ecosystem.
2Climate
The savannah climate is always either warm or
hot. Thunder and lightning storms usually start
near the end of the dry season. In the summer it
gets a low of 78ºF and a high of 86ºF. In the
winter it gets a low of 68ºF and a high of 78ºF.
3Locations
You can find large stretches of savannahs in
parts of Asia, Australia, and South America. But
the largest savannahs are in Africa. The
wildebeests and zebras of eastern Africa spend
the rainy seasons on the open grassy plains of
Tanzania (tan-zah-nee-ah). But when the rains end
the grasses begin to die, giant herds head north
to Kenya in search of food and water.
