Laboratory treatability study
  • Development, construction and validation of novel
    soil mixing equipment capable of delivering both
    wet and dry binder
  • Quality assurance software system which will
    monitor variables such as binder pressure,
    injection quality and rate, impact depth,
    penetration and withdrawal rates will be designed
    and implemented
  • A range of conventional and novel binders as well
    as additives will be used
  • Extensive laboratory study will be performed to
    optimise the selection of the materials
  • A number of tests will be performed strength,
    density, leachability, sorption and desorption
    and compressibility
  • Trials on a selected site with variable ground
    condition and contamination
  • Permeable reactive barrier will be performed
  • Hot spot treatment of contaminated ground as well
    as improvement of soft soil will be carried out
  • Both wet and dry binder delivery will be performed
