Advantages of DVD

• Digitally recorded so reliable.
• Instant search to title, chapter, music track,
  and time code.
• Durable (no wear from playing, only from physical
  damage).
• Not susceptible to magnetic fields. Resistant to
  heat.
• Writes in smaller pits

Conclusion
Thus, it is one of the most important, reliable
and economic medium for storage of data like
videos, pictures, movies, documents etc. As the
data is written in binary format it will be
easier for computer to read, write and erase the
data in the DVD.
