Madison Wire (Europe) Ltd was formed in 1992
operating from a 6,000 square feet building in
Nelson, Lancashire. Within 3 years, the rapid
success of the company necessitated the move to
our present location in Blackburn, Lancashire. A
purposely designed factory totalling 28,000 sq.
ft. Situated adjacent to junction 5 on the M65
allows for easy access to the UK motorway network.

MWEL use 2 John Royle 15-1 CV extruders, coupled
with up to 70 meters of high-pressure steam and
water pipes. This enables us to produce cable up
to 15mm diameter in all types of elastermeric
compounds as well as silicone. Both lines are
fully automated to ensure optimum quality and
diameter control.

The steam curing process enables maximum bonding
/ lock down between insulation, with or without
reinforcing branding / minimizing sheath tear and
maximizing terminal retention. Thus guaranteeing
high Newton scale pull off strengths that cannot
be achieved by any other curing process.

ignition cable and components to the worldwide
assembly market. Our customers then assemble the
products into finished HT leads supplying the OEM
and aftermarket. Being experts in all three

Specialising in the manufacture of HT cable and
HT lead components. Madison Wire (Europe) Ltd is
able to supply all diameters of SILICONE, EVA,
EPS, CPE and EPDM HT cable in all colours. The
cable can be produced braided or un-braided with
Kevlar or silicone sleeved resistor/suppression,
wire-wound, reactive and copper conductors. All
cable can be supplied printed to customer
requirements.
