• In the balkan town Kalofer on 25 December 1847
  was born the first son of Botyo Petkov and Ivanka
  Petkova Hristo Botev.

• Botyo Petkov, called teacher Botyo, is a
  Bulgarian teacher, Ivanka Petkovas husband and
  father of the revolutionar Hristo Botev and 8
  children. They lived in Kalofer.

• Hristo Botev studied under his father comands. He
  listened to his mothers songs. Hristo Botev
  read Bulgarian and Russian books. He finished
  school in 1863 in Kalofer.

Hristo Botev went to Russia to finish his
education. In 1863 he arrived in Odessa and he
enrolled as a private student at Odessa High
School.

• In 1867 he returned to Kalofer . He replaced his
  ill father in the school. He published his first
  poem in the newspaper Bagpipes in 15 April
  1867. He left forever Kalofer in September.

• Botev enrolled in the Zhelyu Voyvodas
  detachment. In winter, Hristo Botev lived
  together with Vasil Levski in a windimill.

Hristo Botev headed the BRCK in 1875.

• In July 1875, Botev married Veneta Vezireva and
  on 13 April was born their daughter Ivanka.

• Botev became captain of the ship''Radetzky'. On
  1 June 1876 is the last heavy battle - bullet
  pierces Botev.
