What is Cloud Computing?

• Cloud computing is Internet- ("cloud-") based
  development and use of computer technology
  ("computing"). In concept, it is a paradigm shift
  whereby details are abstracted from the users who
  no longer need knowledge of, expertise in, or
  control over the technology infrastructure "in
  the cloud" that supports them.

UCI

• The unified cloud interface (UCI) or cloud
  broker will be composed of a semantic
  specification and an ontology also referred to as
  "Semantic Cloud Abstraction". The ontology
  provides the actual model descriptions, while the
  specification defines the details for integration
  with other management models.

• The Open Grid Forum Open Cloud Computing
  Interface (OCCI) working group will deliver an
  API specification for remote management of cloud
  computing infrastructure, allowing for the
  development of interoperable tools for common
