What is an E-Moment?

• Engaging moment
• Strategy or activity designed to maximize
  learning
• They enhance the ways learners can connect with
  your content.

What prevents teachers from using them?

• The unknown
• They are set in their ways
• Lack of time or motivation
• That is the dumbest thing I have ever heard of,
  my kids would NEVER go for that!

• Safety First
• Risk Boldly
• Engage YOURSELF!
• Give acknowledgement freely
• Celebrate often
• Set the context refuse to limit their ability
• BELIEVE!

• Chunking
• Organizing material in meaningful units
• Rote Rehearsal
• Repeating information or a skill many times
• Elaborative Rehearsal
• Immersing information in meaning or highlighting
  it relevance
