- 1960s Skip Barber competes in Formula One
- He realizes the need to teach others
professionally similar to other top level
sports - 1975 started the Skip Barber Racing School with
11 race cars. 1976 started first season of
amateur racing with top level instructors and
equally prepared and maintained race cars

- 1980-2000 the company grows and becomes North
Americas largest and best Racing School and
amateur race series - Became aware of the need to train and promote up
and coming karters in to auto racing - 1997 created the Skip Barber Karting Shootout
