• Gray whales can weigh up to 40 tons!
• They have gray skin with some blotchy white
  spots.
• They can be up to 50 feet long.
• They have 2-4 throat grooves.
• They also posses 2 blowholes.
• They have no dorsal fin.

Feeding habits

• Gray whales eat small amphipods such as krill.
• They filter out their food by sieving through the
  mud.
• While feeding gray whales lay on their right side.

Reproduction

• Gray whales rarely give birth to twins, there is
  almost always one calf.
• Breeding mostly occurs from winter to early
  spring.
• The calves drink milk that is 50 fat.
• The calf or calves are born headfirst near the
  surface of the ocean near the coastline.

Migration

• Gray whales travel 12,500 miles each year.
• They travel from the Chukchi Sea to Baja,Mexico.
• They eat very little on their long journey.

• In conclusion I think that gray whales are
  amazing because they travel so far to Baja,Mexico
  just to reproduce, also they are unique when
  giving birth to their young.
