• 1940 attends OSU and studies drawing.
• 1943 drafted into the US army.
• 1946 earns Bachelors of Fine Arts at OSU
• 1949 earns Masters of Fine Arts at OSU

• 1949 gets married and lives in Columbus, Ohio.
• 1950s first one man exhibitions
• 1960s professor in New York. Begins Benday Dot
  method and incorporating his infamous comic
  books.
• 1960s-1990s continues production, work is
  viewed in many prestigious galleries, and
  receives many awards
• 1997 dies in Manhatten, NYC.
