Sigma Sigma Phi Gammas Goals

• Positively impact the community at large through
  service projects and charitable fundraisers
• Strengthen the presence and awareness of
  Osteopathy in the local community
• Promote fellowship amongst the student body and
  continue the scholastic standing of its members
  and its colleagues

How We Succeed in Our Goals

• Monthly Meetings
• Service Projects at the House of Healing, a local
  womens shelter
• Bi-annual Blood Drives
• Fundraising Bake sales Potluck dinners
• Ambassadorship
• Additional community service projects

SSP Monthly Meetings

• General club meeting the third Tuesday of every
  month to discuss upcoming events and promote
  fellowship amongst student colleagues
• Members participate in community service and
  fundraising events as part of their SSP
  commitment

House of Healing

• Shelter that offers a positive alternative
  environment for incarcerated women and their
  children in addition to women in danger of losing
  custody of their children
• Holiday dinners and events Christmas,
  Thanksgiving, Halloween, Easter
• SSP offers financial support raised through
  fundraising events
• Potluck dinner on November 18
• Past and future events include general
  maintenance, arts and crafts, and much more!

SSP and House of Healing Easter Dinner

• Helped set up for and serve Easter dinner
• Organized activities for children at the House of
  Healing, including bunny bowling, egg decorating,
  and relay races.

Bi-Annual Blood Drives

• Collaborative effort with Community Blood Bank of
  Erie, PA
• Held at LECOM campus every spring and fall since
  2002
• SSP orchestrates the donations of students,
  faculty, staff and community, and works in
  concert with the blood bank to ensure efficient
  collection
• Next blood drive December 8
