Background
  • Partnership between Maryland State Department of
    Education (MSDE) and Johns Hopkins Center for
    Technology in Education (CTE)
  • Initiated in 2005-2006 in response to legislative
    request
  • July 1, 2007-Statewide IEP form and format
  • July 1, 2008-Special Services Information System
    (SSIS) electronic submission from an online tool
  • The online tool is under continuous development
    based on feedback provided by LSS user groups and
    MSDE.
