4How to Make a Paper Crane
Step 1 Turn one square around to look like a
diamond
5Step 2 Fold it in half from top to bottom
6Step 3 Fold the paper in half from left to
right.
7Step 4 Lift the top half up along the middle
fold line. Open out the paper and press it down
neatly into a diamond.
8Step5 Turn the paper over and make the same fold
on the other side.
9Step 6 Fold and unfold the lower (open) sloping
edges and the top point as shown.
10Step 7 Pinch and lift the front flap of the
paper
11Step 7 Continue to lift the flap so its edges
meet in the middle.
12Step 7 Press the paper flat to make it diamond
shaped
13Step 8 Turn the paper over and repeat the fold
on the other side.

14Step 9 Fold the lower sloping edges over so
they lie along the middle line.
15Step 10 Repeat on the other side
16Step 11 Inside reverse fold the bottom point
17Step 12 Inside reverse fold the remaining
bottom point
18Step 13 Inside reverse fold the tip of one of
the point to make the head and the beak
19Step 14 bend the wings down and apart
20Step 15 Flatten and puff out center, and you
have a completed crane!
