PONER
  • Poner (meaning to put) is irregular in the
    first person singular. After that, it follows
    the rules for er verbs.
  • pongo ponemos
  • pones ponéis
  • pone ponen

SALIR
  • Like poner, salir (meaning to leave) is
    irregular in the first person singular. After
    that, it follows the rules for ir verbs.
  • salgo salimos
  • sales salís
  • sale salen

Both poner and salir are irregular in the
first person but nowhere else. See?
  • poner salir
  • pongo ponemos salgo salimos
  • pones ponéis sales salís
  • pone ponen sale salen

TRAER
  • Like poner and salir, traer (meaning to
    bring) is irregular only in the first person
    singular. But watch out for the spelling!
    Besides having a g come from nowhere, it has an
    i come from nowhere.
  • traigo traemos
  • traes traéis
  • trae traen

  • There are two other verbs that get go in the yo
    form, but thats not their only irregularity
  • oír (to hear) decir (to say, tell)
  • oigo oímos digo decimos
  • oyes oís dices decís
  • oye oyen dice dicen
  • Note the similarities between decir, tener,
    venir
  • decir tener venir
  • digo decimos tengo tenemos vengo
    venimos
  • dices decís tienes tenéis
    vienes venís
  • dice dicen tiene tienen
    viene vienen

  • The last verb is very simple. Only the 1st
    person singular changes, the whole verb looks
    EXACTLY like ir, but with a d
  • dar (to give) ir
