4The Faculty Ethics Committee
- Provides guidelines for the ethical conduct of
research. - Ensures that staff and students are trained in
the ethical conduct of research. - Has developed a procedures for handling ethics
issues of all research in the faculty, through
faculty or departmental ethics committees or,
where appropriate, through NHS. - Report annually to the University Ethics of
Research Committee via the Faculty Ethics Officer.

- The Ethics of Research Committee is a Joint
Committee of Senate and Council. - Foster a University-wide awareness of ethics
issues. - The Committee aims to assist faculties with
ethical issues in research.

faculties. - hear appeals on decisions made by faculties.
