Here is the design of Hampton court palace at the

Hampton court palace was England's most
important palace of the Tudor time. From 1515
about 1521 the lord chancellor of England ,
Thomas Wolsey turned a middle aged manor in to a
palace that was thought of as excellent by people
of that time. By 1529 Henry VIII had begun a
process of rebuilding and remodelling which went
on for ten years.
3These are Hampton court palaces chimneys they are
the oldest part of the palace. They are patted
and had nothing fall off since it was built. The
chimneys are the first part of the palace to be
built in 1515.

- In 1523 Henry 8ths teacher John Skelton
writes that kings court should have the
excellence but Hampton court should be thought of
as better than the kings court. - And in 1529 Henry 8ths Workmen take over
the building works at Hampton court palace.
- Also 1540 Henry 8th and Anne of Cleves are
divorced it is signed at the palace.

- 1984 Prince Charles speaks at Hampton Court
Palace calls for a new harmony between
imagination and taste and in the relationship
between the architects and the people of this
country.
- 1760 George 3rd becomes king. He abandons
Hampton Court as a royal building as it begins to
divide up into grace and favour apartments. - 1838 Queen Victoria opens the gardens and state
apartment to the public for free.
6The kitchen
- The kitchen is an very important room in the
court. This is were king Henry 8ths were busy
working away making him food and drink. The was
no stove in Tudor times so they cooked over a
fire place instead.
7The chapel royal
- In the chapel royal there were ancient
stained glass windows. There are beautiful and
long and shaped in a arch. They are in the great
watching chamber. The chapel was used for
religious ceremonies.
8THE GREAT HALL
- The great hall has been know to sit 1,000
people in long seats. The tables practically a
bit shorter than the hall its self. There wasn't
much room for them to get in and out because
there was a lot of chairs with people sitting on
them.
9The courtyard
- The courtyard is a beautiful garden that has
been described paradise. It has been cut directly
to designer Thomas Wolsey's design. It was the
last thing on there list but a lot of effort was
put in to make it brilliant.
