Title: Indo US Dialog on Water Equipment

1
Indo US Dialog onWater Equipment Chemicals
Standards
  • Rajesh Sharma, Chairman, CII Water Equipment
    Division, MASCON
  • 1st Digital Video Conference
  • June 9, 2009
  • Washington New Delhi Mumbai

2
1.0 Why Water Equipment needs Standards?
  • All processes, equipments and systems will have
to collectively meet water quality standards
through a combination of deploying different
    equipments, chemicals and processes.

Therefore, all standards would need to be
compiled and made available to all stakeholders

5
2.2 Standards required for.,
  • Materials safety
  • No contaminants to be produced by any product
  • Components used should not leach any toxic
    substances / contamination.
  • Structural integrity should be able to withstand
    pressure rating.
  • Product information accurate information to
    consumer
  • Treated water quality testing procedure
  • Testing for guaranteed parameters
