31I make large scale drawings and drawing
installations. My work is driven by a profound
and personal fascination with the mark, and an
unabashed love for the sensation of mark-making
on a larger-than-life scale. The drawings are
not imitations of any aspect of nature, nor are
they illustrations of a limited conceptual
hypothesis. Instead they celebrate the peculiar
properties of drawing as relics of the physical
act of drawing. As performance, they are
rituals spells.
