PRAYER REQUESTS
A smooth transition for new faculty, staff,
students and their families. Gods wisdom,
patience discernment for faculty, staff and
administrators. Fall Bible Conference with
speaker Voddie Baucham. Faculty, Staff, and
students who return and are grieving the loss of
a loved one. Increased sensitivity to the needs
of our brothers and sisters here in the CU
community.

• Real joy in serving Christ through teaching our
  students in the various disciples.
• Successful launch of new programs in the
  undergraduate, graduate, and Pharmacy programs.
• School of Humanities
• New BA in Worship degree as it begins God
  would send passionate, talented students.
• God would transform the minds and hearts of our
  students through our teaching and instruction.

• Christian Ministries
• ERAP Program - Diane Lichtensteiger, ERAP
  Teachers, and that the new teachers will receive
  letters of invitation from the Foreign Exchange
  Bureau.
• Community Ministries as they have significant
  ministry events over the coming weeks  Volunteer
  Expo, Impact World Tour, The Main Event, Join
  Hands Miami Valley, etc.
• Traveling teams and MIS groups as they return
  home.

John Gredys wife, Linda - recovering from hip
replacement surgery yesterday. Cheryl Snow (Amy
Holderby's cousin) - recently diagnosed with
acute leukemia.  Currently in chemo treatments at
the James Cancer Center in Columbus.  Sharyn
Kopfs friends, Jim Brenda Kedziora. Jim has
cancer and they're saying only a miracle can save
him.  He's very young he Brenda have only been
married a short time-- almost five years.

Justin Spanns mother suffered a massive heart
attack Friday evening and is now Home with the
Lord.   Wes Rowes brother-in-law, Bob Dalton
has a brain tumor. Cindy Davis brother, Ellis
Fields, has been under treatment for leukemia for
several years. He is scheduled to have eye
surgery on August 20 to remove cancer that has
developed on his cornea. JD Mackiewicz's
mother-in-law is quite ill with liver
malfunction. She is awaiting word on biopsy
results.

Pete Burban - Pray that God would heal family
friend, Voirica Bash, who has an aggressive and
rare form of breast cancer. Lee Eimers wife,
Barb - continuing recovery from a hemorrhage in
her right eye several weeks ago. Jeff Guernsey
- leading MIS team August 7-17.  He and ten
students are going to teach "Business Camp for
Emerging Entrepreneurs" in Zaporozhey, Ukraine.
Dan Wetzel family - continued strength.

Dennis Flentge's dad - recovering from double
knee replacement . Rachel Hay - safe pregnancy
and delivery. Jean Weyandt's father-in-law, Ron
Weyandt.  Health issues, Bulbar Palsy. 
Appointment with team of doctors at Cleveland
Clinic August 12.  Pray for his health and wisdom
for the doctors.

Weekend Students financial needs. Students who
are unable to return for health needs while
others returning with health challenges. Prospect
ive students still making college
choices. PRAISE - Student Preston Godbolds
father, Steve, was released on July 24, 2008
after 9 1/2 months of captivity in the Tibesti
Mountains of northern Chad.
