• A system which displays the moves of previously
  played chess games.
• Suitable mechanism which accesses the games from
  a very large database.
• A user friendly environment for studying and
  learning chess.

Motivation

• The chess games are stored in a format that is
  not very easy to learn from.
• A very clear and lucid way to learn the most
  popular board game.
• Its a boon for the chess lovers, they can view
  any and every match ever played in chess and
  thoroughly analyze it too.

Tools Used

• CGI scripts in Python.
• MySql, Java applets and script.
• Xml , DOM and SAX parser for Xml in python.
• Web Technologies like HTML and CSS for the
  interface.

Problems Faced

• The database is a huge collection of chess games,
  searching a particular game was a problem in
  terms of time complexity.
• Converting the pgn format (the format in which
  chess games are stored) to an animated form.
