II Tim 23-7

• Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier
  of Jesus Christ.
• No man that warreth entangleth himself with the
  affairs of this life that he may please him who
  hath chosen him to be a soldier.
• And if a man also strive for masteries, yet is he
  not crowned, except he strive lawfully.
• The husbandman that laboureth must be first
  partaker of the fruits.
• Consider what I say and the Lord give thee
  understanding in all things.

General Orders
Since the time of the Roman army, all armies have
seen the value in General Orders. General Orders
guide a soldier in absence of all other direction.
U.S. Army General Orders

• I will guard everything within the limits of my
  post and quit my post only when properly
  relieved.
• I will obey my special orders and perform all my
  duties in a military manner.
• I will report violations of my special orders,
  emergencies, and anything not covered in my
  instructions, to the commander of the relief.

• I will accept responsibility for everything in my
  sphere of influence.
• I will not quit what God gave me to do until He
  tells me to do something else.

• I will obey what God told me to do, even if he
  didnt tell anyone else to do the same thing.
• I will always remember to act like I know there
  is a war on and the enemy is trying to take what
  God entrusted to me.

  emergencies, and anything not covered in my
  instructions, to the commander of the relief.

• I will pray about anything that bothers me to the
  only one who can provide me with any relief.
• I will remember that my commander can command the
  winds and waves, and turn the hearts of kings.

• Neither - The world is the objective of our
  mission. Individuals may be enemies of our
  father.
• Foe But he tries very hard to be our friend.

Every Battle

• Battle Plan
• A description of how we intend to meet the
  enemy, engage him, defeat him, and if everything
  fails, how we intend to get home alive.
• Provisioning
• The acquisition of resources in preparation
  for the battle. Resources include armament,
  food, and medical supplies.

Provisioning

• II Cor. 10 3 - 6
• For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war
  after the flesh (For the weapons of our warfare
  are not carnal, but mighty through God to the
  pulling down of strong holds) casting down
  imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth
  itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing
  into captivity every thought to the obedience of
  Christ and having in a readiness to revenge all
  disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.

Fight

• 1 Timothy 6 12
• Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on
  eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and
  hast professed a good profession before many
  witnesses.

• I have fought a good fight, I have finished my
  course, I have kept the faith.

• Not all fights are good, but to fight for faith
  is.
• Faith is never easy, nor without its battles.
• Our faith fights have witnesses.
• Victory is possible!

• Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto
  you of the common salvation, it was needful for
  me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye
  should earnestly contend for the faith which was
  once delivered unto the saints.

• The contention (fight) for our faith has an
  internal component BUT it also has and external
  one!

• The act of believing
• The doctrines believed.
