effect with related RD projects - they can help to initiate of RD projects by
attracting expertise from all over Europe or

- Structure of the proposal
- The proposal is to be composed of 3 parts, A, B
C - Part A Legal and administrative background and
short description of the proposal, budget summary
and requested funding - Part B Description of scientific/technological
objectives and work plan. The scientific/technolog
ical quality is assessed on the basis of this
part - Part C Description of management and resources,
of contribution to EU policies, economic
development and, if applicable, details of
partnership.

- There are three cut-off dates per annum
throughout FP5 - Call for Proposals for Accompanying Measures of
QoL was published in the Official Journal of the
European Communities (C 64/16 of 6.3.1999) - The remaining Cut-off dates for FP5, as published
in the Corrigendum C 361/14 of 15.12.1999 are - 13.6.2000, 11.10.2000,
- 9.2.2001, 12.6.2001, 11.10.2001,
- 8.2.2002

Conditions for eligibility
- Proposals which are eligible for funding have to
fulfil several conditions - Completeness Administrative information (part
A), scientific background (part B), and
description of management resources and
Community added value (part C). - Originally signed by authorised person
- Submission within the prescribed time frame
- Start of event not earlier than 6 months after
cut-off date

The funding of proposals
- Proposals can receive 100 of the eligible total
costs as EC funding - Personnel
- Durable equipment (hiring/depreciation)
- Subcontracting
- Travel subsistence
- Consumables
- Protection of knowledge
- Co-ordination
- Other specific costs

- The budget available for Accompanying Measures
The annual budget available is 10 M ( 2 of the
RD budget). The number of proposals funded is
about 150 per annum, resulting in an average
budget per proposal of 66,000.-- per proposal.
