• Cephalopod trade declined recently, as catches of
  both squid and octopus are going down
• China emerged as the main cephalopod in recent
  years
• Japanese market declined sharply in recent years
• EU market concentrates on the Southern part of
  the continent, and Spain has become the main
  importer of cephalopods.
