• The member-companies of AITA transport more than
  80 of the total volume of the goods transported
  in the international traffic

  Regime in Moldova

Advantages of being a member of AITA
The cost of the guarantee is USD 50.000 which
represents every TIR CARNET issued by AITA have
increased by 10 cents for USD100 (in comparison
to USD 5 10 for a USD100 guarantee emitted by
the banks).

Events
AITA played an active role in the finalization of
the ratification procedure of the Unified Weight
Certificate by the heads of the SIC heads of the
states and elaboration of the framework agreement
related to its procedures and implementation.
AITA took part in the video-conferences organized
though the internet by the IRU Delegation in the
CIS with the colleagues from Russia, Kazakhstan
and Ukraine regarding the Problems of the Road
Transport.

Events
The IRU General Assembly took place in Chisinau,
on April 13-15, 2005.
The President of the IRU Mr. Paul Laeremans and
the Secretary General Mr. Martin Marmy have
participated in this Forum as well as the
delegates from 68 countries of the world.

Legal interventions

• Direct interventions and written suggestions to
  modify the current legislation
• AITA have actively contributed to the elaboration
  of the Decision of the Government No.467 dated
  May3, 2004 Foundation of the coordination
  Council to eliminate the barriers for the
  international road transport.

Legal interventions

• AITA have presente to the Government of the
  Republic of Moldova its disagreement with the
  modifications of the Customs Tariff Act related
  to the introducyion of the electronic SMART
  seals fro the goods transported under cover of
  the TIR CARNET
• AITA have distributed its discordance in relation
  to the attempt of the non-constitutional
  authorities on the left bank of the Dnister to
  collect a lax in amount of 10 of the transported
  goods value.

CEMT Authorizations

• AITA have actively contributed to the elaboration
  of the draft Rules related to the distribution
  and utilization of the multilateral
  authorizations of the European Conference of the
  Ministers of transport (ECMT)

• AITA have organized two round tables related to
  the every-day problems of the road transport one
  of them related to the ECMT distribution and
  another one related to the fiscal aspects of
  the road transport industry.

• AITA have edited and communicated to its members
  useful information and news through its
  information leaflet TRANSPRES
• AITA have created a complex information system
  for its members through the internet, fax, phone,
  questionnaires and AITAs web site (www.aita.md)

• According to the decision of the Government AITA
  was nominated as a coordinator of the WEB
  REGIONAL internet site of the Trade and
  Transport Facilitation in Southern Europe
  project (TTFSE) and as a result in the internet
  there is a site that contains information for
  international transport operators concerning the
  requiremnt of the national legislation in this
  domenion
• AITA have distributed promitional materials to
  its member-companies (agendas, calendars, pens,
  badges, etc.)

  TIR Regime during 2005
