- Exodus 251-9 The LORD said to Moses, "Tell the
Israelites to bring me an offering. You are to
receive the offering for me from each man whose
heart prompts him to give. These are the
offerings you are to receive from them gold,
silver and bronzeacacia wood Then have them
make a sanctuary for me, and I will dwell among
them. Make this tabernacle and all its
furnishings exactly like the pattern I will show
you.
2Hebrews 81,2,5 We do have such a high priest
(Jesus), who sat down at the right hand of the
throne of the Majesty in heaven, and who serves
in the sanctuary, the true tabernacle set up by
the Lord, not by man 5 They (OT priests) serve
at a sanctuary that is a copy and shadow of what
is in heaven. This is why Moses was warned when
he was about to build the tabernacle "See to it
that you make everything according to the pattern
shown you on the mountain."

- And so Moses finished the work. Then the cloud
covered the Tent of Meeting, and the glory of the
LORD filled the tabernacle. Moses could not enter
the Tent of Meeting because the cloud had settled
upon it, and the glory of the LORD filled the
tabernacle. In all the travels of the Israelites,
whenever the cloud lifted from above the
tabernacle, they would set out

6THE BRAZEN ALTAR (Exo.271-8)Foreshadows
Christs sacrificial death for us on the cross
4 Make a grating for it, a bronze network, and
make a bronze ring at each of the four corners of
the network. 5 Put it under the ledge of the
altar so that it is halfway up the altar. 6 Make
poles of acacia wood for the altar and overlay
them with bronze. 7 The poles are to be inserted
into the rings so they will be on two sides of
the altar when it is carried. 8 Make the altar
hollow, out of boards. It is to be made just as
you were shown on the mountain.

- "Build an altar of acacia wood, three cubits
high it is to be square, five cubits long and
five cubits wide. 2 Make a horn at each of the
four corners, so that the horns and the altar are
of one piece, and overlay the altar with bronze.
3 Make all its utensils of bronze--its pots to
remove the ashes, and its shovels, sprinkling
bowls, meat forks and firepans.
71. Our sin and trespasses have to be dealt with
before we can come into Gods presence.

82. Christ has paid it all for us at the Cross.
- Acacia wood the humanity of Christ.
- Bronze judgment.
- 5 cubits square the number of grace.
- The fire at the altar was to continue burning
day and night (Lev.612-13) Calvarys cross
and Christs sacrifice is open to us all the
time.
9- The Cross paves the way for us to be accepted by
God Burnt Offering (Lev.1 69-13) - The Cross empowers us to offer our lives to God
in worship and service as a fragrant offering -
Meal / Grain Offering (Lev.2 614-22) - The cross enables us to enjoy sweet fellowship
with God - Peace / Fellowship Offering (Lev.3
711-21, 29-34)
10- Trespass / Guilt Offering In Christ our
trespasses are forgiven. - Sin Offering In Christ the power of sin is
broken. - Burnt Offering In Christ, God the Father
accepts us. - Meal / Grain Offering In Christ, we have a
perfect sacrifice. - Peace / Fellowship Offering In Christ we have
fellowship with God.
