11Priorities for NGBs?
- You have the next 15 minutes to write down what
priorities you feel Merseyside Sports Partnership
should focus on in relation to creating a World
Class Community Sports System in Merseyside and
why
12Sport and Physical Activity Alliances
13Sport and Physical Activity Alliances
- As a result of the new Sport England Strategy it
is a local decision to whether the SPAAs are
sustained within each of the local areas. - In Merseyside all six local areas will sustain
their SPAA in accordance to local need for
example, Wirral will move the SPAA into a
Partnership Board with a wider range of partners
who will commission funding from the PCT and
other service providers. - Agenda items will vary from each local area but
will include Extending Activity, commissioning
the delivery of activity across local areas,
market segmentation, BSF, facility development,
district sports council updates, 2012 Olympics,
work force development.
14And finally
- Merseyside Sports Partnership will operate
effectively to add value, support and enhance
the work and priorities of National Governing
Bodies as per the contract with Sport England,
however we are only as good if an NGB knows what
it needs in Merseyside!!!
