For this assignment youll need to shoot the
equivalent of 1 roll of film (36 exp). Youll
also need to make two prints which deal with
Light as the subject matter.
Light is the single most essential element in
photography and seeing...and virtually everything
is dependent on it. The word photography means
writing with light. You should consider the
physical properties of light. Light can be
Transmitted Reflected Specular
Diffused Concentrated Obscured
Your assignment is to observe, respond to and
photograph light in the world around you. Your
images may be as abstract or as representational
as you wish. Pay particular attention to the
technical processes which are necessary for the
successful completion of this assignment. Focus
properly, expose properly, make adjustments to
overall lightness/darkness and make color correct
prints.
