Scenario of missing class (this has happened)

• Scenario This week, class only meets Tuesday and
  Thursday.
• On Thursday, Mrs. Fischer announces an upcoming
  quiz the next class.

• Being that next Monday and Tuesday there are days
  off from school, the quiz is set for Wednesday.
• Since the student missed the last class, he
  approaches Mrs. Fischer that Wednesday and says
  I was not in class last time. What did I miss?

Class Policies

• If you miss a class, you are responsible for any
  assessments or assignments given that day, and
  they are due when you return.

But why?

• Being that the class meets every other day, and
  there are days off for various holidays and
  interruptions to our schedule, this policy is not
  the same as classes that meet every day.
• This is because students can receive many more
  days to study for quizzes and tests. It can also
  give them extra time to finish projects and
  papers, an advantage which can be unfair to
  classmates.

• Since this class meets every other day, Mrs.
  Fischer has 200 students to keep track of every
  two days. This policy makes organization possible
  and keeps the class for everyone.

  assignments and attachments are listed at the
  bottom of my website.

Class Policy

• If you are absent the day of a quiz, test, or due
  date of a project or paper, you must submit it to
  me the next day you are in the building.
• If you are absent Tuesday (day a paper is due),
  and come back to school on Wednesday, the paper
  is due to me on Wednesday. DO NOT GIVE IT TO ME
  THE DAY YOU COME BACK TO CLASS.

Where do I put work that is due when I come back
to school?

• You can put the paper on my desk in the religion
  office. The religion office is on this floor,
  located a few doors down from our room.
• You can put it in my mailbox, located in the
  faculty center where the copy machines are. Ask a
  teacher to put it in my box.
• You can give it to Mrs. Shuma and ask her to give
  it to me.

Class Policy

• If you are absent the day of a quiz or test, you
  must take the test in the library within two
  days.
• Go to the library during lunch, study hall,
  homeroom, or before or after school.
• Tell the librarian your name, and she will hand
  you the test.
• Take the test and give it to her when you are
  done. The librarian will give it to me.

What if something major happened in my life and I
just cant give it to you?

• Come talk to me about your situation and we will
  make the proper arrangements.
