• Used primarily to form the possessive of a noun
  or an indefinite pronoun
• Also indicates certain unusual plural forms and
  shows where a letter has been dropped in a
  contraction

Possessive Singular Nouns

• Denzel Washingtons new movie is a good one.
• The cameras shutter speed has been repaired.

Plural Nouns

• For plural nouns ending in s, add only an
  apostrophe to form the possessive.
• They looked at the structure of several moths
  wings.
• The Mertzes apartment was beneath the Ricardos.
