created - Objective take care of patients with yellow
fever landed from merchant ships. - The location was chosen because was near the
ocean there was many plantations and only a few
houses.

Esteve em visita a este hospital o Dr.Luiz
Santos, Diretor do Serviço de Epidemiologia do
Departamento de Saúde que pediu por nosso
intermédio solicitássemos aos demais médicos e
internos plantonistas, confirmar no mais curto
prazo possível, os diagnósticos dos doentes que
dão entrada neste nosocômio como suspeitos, bem
como as transferências de uma para outra doença.
Esta medida tem por fim facilitar a Organização
dos quadros estatísticos daquele serviço dentro
