Our Mandate

  directives for Recreation Services in Nova
  Scotia.

• Incorporated 1995, Bylaws established 1995, and
  Original Service Standards 1997
• Professional development including establishment
  of professional classifications 2000
• Standards of Practice for Recreation as a Therapy
  and Service 2007
• Annual General Meeting Conference
• Sponsorship of regional education workshops
• Membership of over one hundred members

• Working relationship with Department of Health
  and other related agencies.
• Partnership with Therapeutic Recreation
  Association of Atlantic Canada (TRAAC) in
  development of Standards and presentation of
  Canadian Therapeutic Recreation Association
  National Conference in Halifax 2006.

  Therapeutic Recreation Specialist.
