6Over 300,000 Jews were gathered in the
Umschlagplatz from 1942-1943 where most were
deported to Treblinka.
Norman Frajman, Survivor, speaks about his
deportation to Majdanek from the Umschlagplatz.

Block 21 where Norman was assigned as a child.
800,000 people were murdered at Majdanek.
817,000 people are buried here in this mass grave
at Majdanek. All were shot in these pits on
November 3, 1943 called The Harvest Festival by
the Nazis and Bloody Wednesday by the
prisoners.

Replica of original Jewish History Museum which
is attached to the new structure.
21This was the only synagogue in Berlin that was
not destroyed during Kristallnacht. It stands in
a courtyard which is completely surrounded by
apartment buildings. Today they have an active
congregation.
