  • 4 x Very sheltered housing schemes
  • 1 x Substance Misuse floating support
  • 4 x Domestic Violence services
  • 1 x Learning Disabilities scheme
  • Pilot projects

Pilot Projects
  • 11 short term projects catering for
  • Women at risk of domestic violence
  • People with mental health issues
  • People with learning disabilities
  • Older people with support needs
  • Excluded families
  • 2 catering specifically for BME groups
  • Originally planned for 6 months extension to
    end September 2005 to allow for evaluation

    at Keele University

  • Original bids for funding
  • Client Record Form returns
  • Performance Monitoring returns

  • SP Team approach to process

  • Assessment and Recommendations for each
    individual project
  • Details of scoring matrix used for the above
  • Assessment of approach taken by SP team
  • Production of evaluation toolkit for future

  • term projects introduced through SPiINS

Using the Findings of the Evaluation
  • Whether any services are to be given the
  • opportunity to continue
  • Whether there is a need for such a
  • service in the future
  • Help to improve SP team approach and to
  • introduce set procedures for SPiINS
  • developments (see Staffs 5 Year Strategy)
  • Enable future evaluations to be carried out by
  • SP team through use of evaluation toolkit and
  • scoring matrix

Funding Routes 2006-08
  • Planned we will tender for Green Priority
    Services through National Press.
  • Responsive
  • Annual Bidding round
  • Responding to identified need/ review findings
  • 2006/7 we will identify types of services we want
    to receive bids for.
  • SPiiNS Annual bidding round for new
    innovative services that test/ measure need (1
    year funding only)

What happens now?
  • Request Tender pack following advert (planned)
  • Request application form and guidance notes
    (Available September 2005)
  • All tenders to be assessed by stakeholder panel
    successful applicant agreed following
    presentation.
  • Responsive Spiins applications to be assessed
    by investment Development sub group (decision
    made by October 2005) for services to start 1st
    April 2006.
