- Indexing codes can be used to specify where
Factiva will search for the topic word or phrase
you have typed in. - For example, type hdtoyota and all articles
found will have toyota in the title or
headline. - Another example is hlptoyota. All articles
found will have toyota in the article headline
or leading paragraph. - Search for free-text terms in must be changed
to Full Article or the above two examples will
not work. - To find articles of certain lengths, the word
count feature can be used. Example wcgt3000 will
limit results on a topic to those longer than
3000 words. - It is sometimes advisable, depending on the
search, to open the date range to all dates
(dates vary by publication).
