Preface
This course should should be viewed as an
initial training in air quality forecasting and
as a work-in-progress. As more data become
available, analyses performed, reports reviewed,
etc., the course may be expanded and enhanced.
The EPA welcomes participants comments and
suggestions and any example analyses, new
databases, or additional references that might
enhance the course. The participants should keep
in mind that this course provides basic knowledge
to begin forecasting the Air Quality Index (AQI)
and methods to improve existing forecasting
programs it is not meant to show the only way to
forecast air quality.
