General Game Description
  • De Anza team robots will compete against the
    Foothill team robots
  • Purpose To gain experience building a product
    that meets a certain specifications (product
    development), gain transferable skills, and
    experience real life situations (teamwork)

Game Timeline
  • Feb 8th Game Launch/Training Phase Begins
  • March 14th- Training Phase Ends/Checkpoint
  • May 23rd- Practice Session (Optional)
  • (Highly Recommended)
  • June 6th - COMPETITION DAY

Team Structure
  • Each school has an alliance of two teams
  • Each team can have up to 10 people (But flexible)
  • Each team will construct their own robot

Qualifications
  • Must be a DEEP member
  • Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM)
    Major
  • Currently enrolled at De Anza and/or Foothill
    College
  • Committed through the Spring Quarter
  • Motivated
  • Team player
  • Proactive

Sign-up
  • Sign ups start NOW
  • Must have the following at the Feb 8th Launch
    meeting
  • An advisor and at least one team representative
    present
  • List of DEEP students that want to participate
    in your alliance
  • If there are more than 20 people interested,
    we will consider expanding
  • Students can participate in either college
    team, but will be committed to that team for the
    whole competition
  • DO NOT decide who is on what team until after
    the Launch meeting
