5- Supporting Kids and Their Environment (SKATE) is
a federally funded three year project identified
by local family services and drug and alcohol
services as filling a services delivery gap in
the Barwon Region Victoria
6SKATE
- Childrens Groups Work covers 0-18 years.
Offering a psycho educational model with a
cognitive behavioral approach combined with
expressive therapies. - Brokerage provided to link children into
community and social actives which are not
covered by material aid or government payments - Secondary Consultation aims to enhance the
skills of Health and Community Services
professionals about dual family and drug and
alcohol issues.

- Extended Family Support support services
provided to family members where a loved one is
impacted by substance misuse - Chemical Dependency Unit group run for expecting
mothers who are experiencing substance use
issues.
