petPRO Presently
  • petPRO has recently been bought by Nestle who are
    looking to enter the Canadian Pet Food market.
    Due to the merge it has brought a lot of problems
    in managing the companies finances, the finance
    and accounting department has put together a team
    to find a new solution to their financial
    problem.
  • The team has created a template to evaluate three
    technologies and choose one to help petPROs
    current financial situation.

    benefits/problems, effect on employees and
    company, need for training?.

  • This software is designed to network individuals
    together to make a stronger decisions.
  • Sharing individual experiences, and special
    intelligence will give petPRO the ability to
    generate bigger profits and cut back on poor
    decisions.

  • Interaction is easy to install, and low
    costing.
  • Training of employees is required.
  • Employees must open up their expertise and
    knowledge to everyone in order for this software
    to be implemented properly.

Benefits of using Interaction
  • Allows employees to share data and related
    financial information with everyone in the
    organization.
  • This software can be integrated with PDAs, and
    laptops, thus giving other FAGS up to date
    information concerning our financial status which
    would eventually help them in making right
    decisions.
  • The cost of implementing it is relatively low and
    the whole process only takes four months
  • It would lead to an approx. 30 decrease in
    administration costs

Possible Problems to Consider
  • High-security will be needed to protect against
    possible viruses as well as information leakage.
  • Possible information overload i.e. too much
    information is being transferred and the
    department cannot keep up with it.
  • The software cannot identify which information is
    useful and not useful this relies heavily on
    each employee experience.

Conclusion
  • Interaction would give petPro a better chance
    to choose a project that provide highest return
    and thus maximize profit.
