Occupancy Emergency Plan (OEP)

• An Occupant Emergency Plan (OEP) describes the
  actions that building occupants will take to
  ensure their safety during an emergency.
• The OEP may cover emergencies such as
• Fire
• Explosion
• Discovery of an explosive device
• Severe weather
• Physical threats to building occupants

Continuity of Operations Plan (COOP)

• A Continuity of Operations Plan (COOP)
• establishes operational procedures to sustain
  essential functions if normal operations for the
  courthouse are not feasible
• focuses on actions that must be initiated in the
  several days after an incident to ensure
  continued operations
• provides for sustained operations, which could be
  30 to 60 days, or greater, in the event of an
  emergency affecting courthouse operations and
• guides the restoration of the courts full
  functions.
