Community Mediation Center 2004 Competitive Award

• Truancy mediation program in middle and
  elementary schools in Richland County School
  District 2.
• Results- 85 of students in program began
  attending school regularly
• Community improvement curtail school dropouts,
  court appearances, secure confinement of status
  offenders, and truancy in our community.  Support
  the efforts of the SC Truancy and Dropout
  Prevention Initiative at the district level,
  improve tracking and attendance. Disseminate
  program across the state.

Harvest Hope 2004 Competitive Award

• Create new food pantries in rural areas of four
  counties.
• Results 8,484 served 61,000 lbs of food
  distributed.
• Community improvement11 new pantries will
  demonstrate measurable progress toward national
  standard of being within 7 miles of a pantry
  increase capacity among FCBOs in rural areas.
