Assign virtues
Use this exercise to get to know your teammates
  • Work together to assign the most appropriate
virtue to one of your team members
  • Wisdom
  • Prudence, understanding, good judgment
  • Justice
  • Fairness, honesty, integrity
  • Fortitude
  • Courage, resilience, strength (inner/outer)
  • Temperance
  • Moderation, balance, self-control
  • Lego-osity
  • Excellence in designingand assembling Legos

So one teammate gets Wisdom, another gets
Justice, and so forth. Deal with too few or too
many teammates however you wish.
  • When you are done, you should know, for each
    teammate, at least
  • Her name
  • Her virtue
  • Why that virtue fits her

Time to accomplish this goal 6 minutes

Source of these virtues
  • Ancient Greek philosophers, originally1
  • To the Greeks, a virtue is "habitual excellence".
It is something practiced at all times.
  • See http//en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Virtue .
  • They were very advanced to have included
    Lego-osity, we think.

1And later adopted by some modern religions,
perhaps without footnoting their source.
Thanks to Salman Azhar for teaching us this
version of this exercise
