How do I drop a course on CatsWeb?

Step 1Go to CatsWeb

• Two Ways
• Go to https//catsweb.txstate.edu
• Use the CatsWeb Link off our home page
• http//www.txstate.edu

Step 2 Click on Student Services then click on
Registration and Schedule Changes

Step 3Click on Continue if you already have a
Username Password (or ID Pin)

Step 4Log In

• Username Password
• Your Texas State University Username is a number
  and letter combination given to you when you
  first enrolled at the university.
• Example Net ID (username)  zz9999
• Example email address  zz9999_at_txstate.edu
• Your Password is also used when logging into your
  email.
• ID Pin
• Your 6 Digit ID is located on Texas State ID
  Card.
• Your PIN is the six-digit number you selected
  when you registered via Web System.

Step 5Verify your Address Click continue

Step 6Read the Warning!
Click OK

Step 7Select the course you would like to drop

• Use the drop down list and select Drop on the
  specific course you wish to drop.
• A prompt will appear asking you to confirm the
  changes
• Then click on OK button to confirm

Step 8Verify you selected the correct course and
click on submit
If you have selected the wrong course click on
Reset and repeat Step 4

Step 9Print this page for your records
Note Once you have completed your drop the
STATUS should say Dropped followed by the date
you dropped.

Step 10Dont Forget to Logout
This is important to prevent other people gaining
access to your account if you're away from your
desk or in a computer lab environment.
