What do we do?

• We help keep Hawaiis families and communities
  health, the environment sound, and the economy
  growing.
• Cooperative extension links college research and
  education programs to the community and vice
  versa.

• To apply scientifically based information to
  solve real world problems.
• Problem solving is accomplished using a network
  of specialists and county-based agents.

• Administer Smith-Lever grants (RFPs, project

• Oversee federal funds for base programs (4-H,
  agriculture, CRED, NREM, nutrition, leadership,
  families)

• Disseminate information about grant opportunities
