3Whats it all about?
The Games project was, and still is, an attempt
to build engaging ICT teaching and learning
courses in a variety of educational settings and
test the notion that an engaged learner is a more
effective learner.

4Who took part?
- A number of schools from different parts of the
county have trialled different aspects of the
ideas. Some have just build games as a control
module, other have build full assessment courses
around the ideas. - Some of the schools involved included

- Seahouses Middle

- St Peters Cramlington
- Amble Middle

5What did they do?
Schools adopted a variety of approaches to the
idea of integrating games into their courses.
Some schools made a whole Year 9 course around
it, others used the ideas as transition modules,
others used the courses as a full ICT project.

7The Commercial Link
Grainger Games Kindly offered to sell games that
pupils produced and this was able to be used as a
major incentive to get pupils further motivated.
