  • Purpose To expand the capabilities of public
    health to participate in health information
    exchange (HIE).
  • Goal To Create an automated disease reporting
    system by leveraging HIE systems in the region.

    reportable results in RHIO databases 2) Enhance

    dialogue between public health and clinical

    ADRS pilot.
  • An agent identifies (Reportable Disease) in the
    OBX field within the HL7 message.
  • Result routed to appropriate health jurisdiction
