Introduction

• Web Services are loosely coupled software
  components that are published, located and
  invoked across the web.
• The Semantic Web approaches to web services give
  us the ability to describe the semantics of web
  services and their capabilities in a formal and
  machine-processable manner.

Semantic Web Services

• The semantics of inputs and outputs of a service
  are described by mapping each input/output
  parameter to a concept which is defined in an
  ontology.

Concept Similarity

• In order to calculate the semantic similarity
  between inputs and outputs of two services the
  semantic similarity of their corresponding
  concepts can be measured.
