Computers...

• Did you ever
• - insert a picture or a paragraph and all
  line/page breaks where messed up (imagine 120
  pages)?
• - take one graph out and had to renumber captions
  of all remaining (imagine 60 graphs)?
• - change two chapters and had to rewrite the
  whole table of contents (imagine 8 chapter with
  60 sub chapter)?
• - have to change from one citation style to
  another (imagine 300 in-text citations of 210
  references)?
• have to re-format the whole document after
  opening it on another computer?
• wonder how to apply chapter specific
  headers/footers
• waste time trying to format a poster

• Reference Search (in programme keep your search
  files local PubMed works, Z39.50 not so well)
• Reference Import and Management Reference Output
  (reference lists, citations (in-text and
  references) CWYW (cite while you write) in
  WYSIWYG editors such as Word
• EndNote (if you have an Apple., seems equivalent
  to RefMan)
• ReferenceManager (no folders option, but indices,
  instant formatting)
• ProCite (v.5 and over)
• Biblioscape (http//www.biblioscape.com/biblioscap
  e.htm) folders, drag-while-you-cite but not
  CWYW???, relationships, better web-integration,
  comes with gimmicks (task manager, idea charts,
  word processor)
