Status of Dry Prong Project
  • On June 20, 2007, local court petitioned for
    injunctive relief from construction. On July 13,
    2007, Secretary Bradberry voluntarily ordered
    halt to all activity.
  • Right-of-way acquisition suspended
  • Final design 95 complete and halted
  • Stoppage remains in effect today

  • In February April 2008, I met with
    Representative Chandler Senator Long
  • Began dialogue with Jindal administration
  • Attempt to resolve differences
  • I presented DOTDs current plan (Option A)
  • Officials requested an option that provided
    shoulders open ditches
  • DOTD explored Option B
