Interior is a large, decentralized agency with
over 70,000 employees and 280,000 volunteers
located at approximately 2,400 operating
locations across the United States, Puerto Rico,
U.S. territories, and freely associated states.
We discharge our responsibilities on a 16.8
billion total annual budget. DOI raises more than
18.2 billion in revenues collected from energy,
mineral, grazing, timber, recreation, land sales,
and other revenue producing activities.

• Primary Responsibilities
• Serve as an advocate on behalf of small
  businesses
• Work with large business partners
• Serve as the agencys representatives on small
  business matters
• Serve as a central point of contact for small
  business administration and small businesses
• Review requirements for business acquisitions
• review acquisition and subcontracting plans
  and,
• Represent the Department at conferences,
  workshops and other related outreach events.
