• Imagery is language that helps you form a picture
  of what something is like.
• Imagery contains language that creates vivid
  images, or word pictures, in your mind. This is
  done through the effective use of details and
  sensory descriptors

  sound, taste, touch, hearing.

  details that appeal to your senses.
• This is particularly important when the setting
  is unreal, unusual, or other worldly as in
  Science Fiction.
